Manaslu Trek in Nepal

However, Manaslu trek is slowly gaining popularity after being opened to international tourists in 1991.

Manaslu trek in the remote region of Manaslu is slowly substituting Annapurna Circuit trek, considered to be the best adventure trek in Nepal. The trek is mostly known for its unexplored trails, fewer trekkers, serenity and preservation. As the routes only opened after the Chinese government opened its borders, the natural treasures of the region are still undisturbed, leading to a rich flora and fauna.

Mount Manaslu at 8156 meters (26758 feet) is the eighth highest peak in the world and the highest in the region. The high altitude glaciers, rich biodiversity and warm hospitality make the tour one of a kind. The best time to explore this hidden gem is from March to May and September to December.

The trek to a maximum elevation of 5160 meters (16929 feet) is not just famous for the natural diversity and captivating mountain views, but also the traditional and unique Tamang and Sherpa settlements. The circuit trek takes about 18-20 days for completion from Arughat to the end point, Bulbule. Due to the restricted area, the trek requires a special permit for trekkers.
